What we’re looking for?

We are looking for a Measurement Engineer to support our Business Services team in delivering the Pipe Replacement Programme within Wales & West Utilities, capturing and recording replacement work in an accurate and timely manner and contributing to the efficient completion of our operational activities.

We’ll trust you to:

  • Prepare as laid and decommissioned drawings with accurate detailed measurements in a set time scale.
  • Compile and provide routine information using computer systems as necessary in accordance with relevant procedures and guidelines, in order to provide detailed information on gas mains and services.
  • Assist in the delivery of training of new staff where appropriate to ensure consistency of approach and compliance with standard processes and procedures.

You’ll need to have:

  • Operational or technical experience is desirable along with some project management experience
  • Strong all round analytical skills.
  • Motivated by driving performance improvements.
  • High level of concern for order, quality and delivery to strict deadlines.
  • Highly numerate and skilled at problem solving.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of systems, data-processes and activities.
  • Strong team ethic.
  • Driving License is essential
