Wales & West Utilities is thanking the people of Tintinhull for their patience following the completion of gas pipe investment work in the village.
The £275,000 investment work involved upgrading over 1.2km of old metal pipes to new plastic ones in Church Street, Vicarage Road, St Margaret’s Road and Westfield Drove. It will make sure that local homes and businesses continue to receive a safe and reliable gas supply for years to come.
Wales & West Utilities worked closely with Somerset County Council to plan the work and keep disruption to a minimum.
Wales & West Utilities Programme Controller, Barry Sale, managed the work and said:
“This work was important to keep the gas flowing to heat homes and power businesses in the area and to make sure the gas network is fit for the future.
“We are delighted to have finished the work in a timely fashion and would like to thank those people that live and travel around the areas for their patience whilst it was ongoing.”
