Darryl Goddard, Wales & West Utilities Area Engineering Manager for South West England
"We have been working in the Topsham Road area to repair a gas leak caused by a water company damaging our network.
"This was a complex job in very difficult weather conditions, but we are pleased to say that we have finished our work and completed the repair. We have now handed the site back to the water company who will need to finish their work before they can reopen the road.
"We would like to thank members of the public for their patience while we completed our work.
