7.75 hours per day, 38.75 hours per week Monday to Friday between our core working hours 7.30am – 5.30pm.

What we’re looking for?

We are looking for a Workshops Craftsperson to carry out the maintenance, inspection and modification of our plant and equipment associated with our operational departments. You’ll also provide technical support and control the supply and return of portable plant.

We’ll trust you to:

  • Carry out all work on Portable Equipment safely and cost effectively, keeping up to date with current technical and industry standards
  • Maintain accurate records to satisfy WWU, third party and legislative requirements
  • Liaise with third party suppliers on technical matters relating to Portable equipment
  • Assist with all new equipment, including recording stock levels, processing equipment requests and logging the shipment of equipment across WWU
  • Carry out maintenance, modification, repair and calibration work in accordance with appropriate policies, procedures and statutory requirements to ensure optimum technical performance and reliability
  • Arrange disposal of equipment via agreed processes

You’ll need to have:

  • Previous relevant experience
  • BTec National certificate / NVQ level 3 or equivalent
  • Full valid driving licence
