Wales & West Utilities is working on a £172,000 gas pipe investment scheme in the Cardigan Road area of Haverfordwest to make sure that local homes and businesses continue to receive a safe and reliable gas supply for years to come.
The scheme, which has also included work on Scotchwell View and the surrounding roads started in February 2016 and has involved replacing more than 1.1 kilometres of old metal gas pipes with new plastic ones
Work on Cardigan Road, which is being done by our contract partner Amec Foster Wheeler will start on 5 August and we anticipate that it will be finished by the 12 August.
So our colleagues, road users and the local community are kept safe, Cardigan Road will be closed from 5 August to 12 August at the junction of Shoals Hook Lane. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
This has been agreed with Pembrokeshire Council and we have worked closely with them to keep disruption to a minimum for residents and road users while we do this essential work.
