Wales & West Utilities is continuing work on its gas pipe investment work in the Abertridwr area which will make sure that local homes and businesses continue to receive a safe and reliable gas supply to the area for years to come.

As part of the final phase of this work it is necessary to erect 4-way traffic lights at the junction of Aberfawr Road and Thomas Street. These will be in place from Monday 20February and it is anticipated they will be taken down within ten days.

Rob Downes, Wales & West Utilities Operational Manager for Abertridwr said:

“The work in Abertridwr is going well and we are pleased with the progress made. These traffic lights are necessary for us to complete the work in the safest possible way.

“Unfortunately, working in areas like this is never easy but we will work as quickly and as safely as possible to make sure that we get the job finished with minimal disruption for local people.”
