Wales & West Utilities is investing £35,000 to improve the gas network in the Marine Drive area of Llandudno.

The work, which started this weekend, will take approximately four weeks to complete.

As part of the work Wales & West Utilities has worked closely with Conwy Council and it has been agreed that a one week road closure will be in place this week (week commencing 14 November), which will then reduce to two way traffic lights for the rest of the work.

Wales & West Utilities Operational Manager for North West Wales, Colin Davies, said:

“We are very aware of the effect this work can have on communities and road users.

“Working in areas like Marine Drive is never easy and we want to give people notice that this section of work to improve the gas network to homes and businesses in the area will need a road closure this week only.

“We will work as quickly and as safely as possible to make sure that we get the job finished with minimal disruption for local people.”
