⚠️ Gas Supply Update – Kingsbridge & Salcombe

With over 100 engineers on the ground, we’ve now successfully restored gas to around 75% of the 4,600 properties affected by third-party damage near Kingsbridge.

We still have some properties in Salcombe and Kingsbridge to visit, which we are already doing from first thing this morning, to restore supplies; however, the majority of the remaining properties are those where we have already visited but not been able to gain access. Details have been left on how to arrange for an engineer to call to restore the supply as soon as contact is made with us.

Thank you for your patience and support as we work to restore the remaining supplies.

Loss of gas supply, Broadmead, Trowbridge

Posted: 09/11/2021

David Rees Wales & West Utilities Operational Manager for Trowbridge said:

“We’re very sorry that the gas supply was interrupted to a number of homes in the Broadmead area of Trowbridge. Our engineers have been working around the clock to get the gas flowing to homes again safely.

“We’ve now fixed the issue and have been visited each home again to safely turn their gas back on and relight their appliances. All our engineers will be carrying identification.

“When our engineers visit your home, they’ll be taking precautions to protect against Coronavirus. This includes:

  • Washing their hands with soap and water or using hand sanitiser before entering.
  • While in your home, they will wear face coverings and eye protection, and may ask you to open windows and stand in another room while they are working.

“If residents are not at home, we are leaving them information on how to contact us so we can turn their gas back on and relight their appliances safely.

“We’re sorry for the disruption, and we really appreciate the support of local people as we worked to get the gas flowing again.”
