We're working with our local authorities and community groups to help them plan for a greener future. Our engagement work and Pathfinder 2050 model have already helped to support our local authorities plan their future.
We have developed several tools to help stakeholders understand the current energy system and transition to a low-carbon energy system in future.
These include The 2050 Energy Pathfinder simulator, an innovative whole-system planning tool that models future energy supply and demand and creates scenarios for individual regions. Pathfinder is designed to support effective and sustained local action to tackle climate change.
Our toolkits are free to use under a licence agreement with WWU:
