Gas works in Bickington Road area of Barnstaple have been put on hold.
Due to the unprecedented impact on the local community and transport services, Wales & West Utilities has worked to re-open the Bickington Road area and remove all traffic management.
With schools due to return shortly, reducing congestion in the area is a priority.
This section of the project (between Cedars Roundabout and the Wrey Arms) will be put on hold, and re-planned at a later date following further consultation. We will share these plans once agreed.
You will still see us working in the wider area as the rest of the project continues.
