IMPORTANT SCHEME UPDATE

Following a joint review of the planned works on Station Road, we have agreed with North Somerset Council to pause our gas upgrade scheme.

When we submitted the works application to upgrade the gas network, the likely impact on the road network was carefully considered as part of the Council’s normal assessment process.

However, as you may be aware, whilst we were in the process of setting out the intended traffic management, and testing its effectiveness, we encountered technical issues with the sequencing of the lights which require further consideration.

We will now review the scheme, in its entirety, and communicate our plans for how the scheme will progress in the future.

We still need to complete a small repair to the gas network on Station Road and this will be undertaken using off-peak stop/go traffic management.
