Date: Thursday 22 October

Time: 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Location (In person and online): Engineers House Conference Venue, Clifton Down, Clifton Bristol, BS8 3NB

Wales & West Utilities (WWU) is hosting a Social Commitments Stakeholder Workshop on Thursday 22nd October in Bristol.

This workshop, aimed at charities, local authorities, community organisations and key stakeholders will explore how WWU can work collaboratively to deliver meaningful social impact across the communities we serve. It will bring together key representatives from across the areas we serve to ensure stakeholder insight helps shape our social commitments and our Theory of Change.

It will provide an opportunity to:

  • Review the three pillars within our Social Promise.
  • Discuss the outcomes that would make a meaningful difference for communities.
  • Identify barriers and opportunities to successful delivery.
  • Share examples of effective partnership working and community initiatives.
  • Consider how impact and success should be measured.
  • Help shape the partnerships needed to maximise community benefit

Sophie Shorney (Engagement and Social Impact Manager, WWU) said:

“This will be an opportunity to share ideas, discuss initiatives, and help shape the partnerships that can create lasting benefits for our communities. We want stakeholder and community voices to be at the heart of how we work in this space, helping us understand what matters most, where we can make the biggest difference, and how our future direction and investment should evolve. Whether you're working directly with communities or influencing local outcomes, we'd love to hear your perspective.”
