Biomethane supporting hubs
Our first hub facility at an existing biomethane entry site is now operational in the south-west area of our network. As well as the anaerobic digestion that produces biogas from vegetable-based material on site, there are three ports that can accept tankered biomethane from other local farms and producers. All the biogas goes into our network through the same entry pipeline, and is subject to the same rigorous gas quality checks.
