Wales & West Utilities is shortly starting work to upgrade the gas pipes in Rhuddlan.
Starting on 22 October, the work is essential to keep the gas flowing to heat homes and power businesses in the area and it is anticipated to take six weeks to complete.
Wales & West Utilities has been working closely with Denbighshire County Council to plan the work while keeping disruption to the community to a minimum. To keep the local community, road users and colleagues safe whilst work is ongoing it has been agreed that a road closure will be in place for six weeks on Castle Street between Station Road and Hylas Lane. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
Wales & West Utilities Operations Controller for the area, Paul Astley, is managing the work and said:
“We know that working on roads like these is not ideal, but it really is essential to make sure we keep the gas flowing to homes and businesses in the area, and to make sure the gas network is fit for the future. We’ll have a team of gas engineers on site throughout the project to make sure our work is completed as safely and as quickly as possible while keeping disruption to a minimum.”
