Wales & West Utilities is investing £50,000 to carry out the final phase of works to improve the gas network in the St Fagans area of Cardiff.
The work, which started this weekend, will take approximately three weeks to complete.
As part of the work Wales & West Utilities has worked closely with The City of Cardiff Council and it has been agreed that four-way traffic lights will be in place at the junction of Michaelston Road and Falconwood Drive for the duration of the scheme.
Wales & West Utilities Programme Controller for South Wales, Francis Kirk, said:
“We are very aware of the effect this work can have on communities and road users.
“Working in areas like St Fagans is never easy and we want to give people notice that this section of work to improve the gas network to homes and businesses in the area will require traffic management.
“We will work as quickly and as safely as possible to make sure that we get the job finished with minimal disruption for local people.”
